WORKSHOP PAPERS

Information for authors of accepted papers in Workshops - final camera-ready preparation & uploading" (due date February 22, 2010)

Authors of all the accepted Workshop Papers must submit the camera-ready version of papers electronically. Please submit the camera-ready version at our online submission system: https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/noms2010.

Please strictly follow the given NOMS 2010 Paper Template. Each submission will be limited to 8 pages for full papers and 4 pages for short papers in IEEE 2-column style including figures and correct margins. You should NOT number any pages. Please use the style sheet templates provided by IEEE, available at http://www.ieee.org/web/publications/pubservices/confpub/AuthorTools/conferenceTemplates.html, to assure that your paper is in line with the guidelines. For IEEEtran class in LaTeX, use the following as the first line in your LaTeX source file: \documentclass[10pt, conference]{IEEEtran}. Note: with IEEE conferences papers, the author affiliation is listed under the author's name, unlike IEEE transactions papers).

Final Manuscripts are to be submitted in IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF format.
Please follow the following steps:

1. Create your manuscript as specified in the template provided. Please note that the maximum number of pages per manuscript is restricted to 8 pages for full papers and 4 pages for short papers.
2. Proof read and check layout of paper.
3. Go to IEEE PDF eXpress Website: http://www.pdf-express.org/㺬.
4. Create IEEE PDF eXpress account (conference ID: nomswkshp10x; use "new user" if you haven't used this site before).
5. Use IEEE PDF eXpress to check if your PDF file is Xplore-compliant, OR, else, you can use this site to convert your source files into an IEEE Xplore-compliant PDF file (e.g., for LaTeX users, create a zip file that includes dvi and your eps figure files all together, and then upload the zip file for the system to convert into a compliant PDF file; for MSWord users, upload the Word file and let it convert and return a compliant PDF file).
6. Submit your converted PDF file online. Please note that PDF Xpress only creates the PDF files for you, and you should still submit the converted file at JEMS: https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/noms2010 (by February 22, 2010 at the latest).
7. IEEE Compliant message - This is the message you receive by e-mail after checking your PDF file against the IEEE PDF eXpress system. We need you to upload such message in JEMS to prove that your paper is ready to go to IEEE Xplore (by February 22, 2010 at the latest).
8. We need you to electronically sign the IEEE Copyright transfer form.
Everything is done through the Internet. You must access your paper in JEMS and follow the instructions that will be presented to you after clicking on the button "Submit to IEEE Copyright System" (by February 22, 2010 at the latest).
9. At least one of the authors of each workshop paper is required to register for the respective workshop by February 22, 2010 at the latest (please note that the Early-Bird registration due date is February 28th). To take advantage of the NOMS 2010 technical program, authors are strongly recommended to register for the main symposium as well.
10. The last thing TPC would like to strongly recommend is to check your Visa Situation at http://cms.comsoc.org/eprise/main/SiteGen/NOMS_2010/Content/Home/LOCAL_ARRANGEMENTS.html#visainfo. If you need a visa letter to attend NOMS 2010, please retrieve such a letter directly from JEMS. You just need to access the records of your accepted paper and click on the PDF icon in the field Visa Letter.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All authors are required to attend and present their paper(s). IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.
